Receipe Title: Spinach Rice with Beetroot-pomegranate Salad

  • 2 ups rice,
  • 250gm Spinach,
  • 1 spoon cumin seeds,
  • 1 Onion,
  • 2 green chilies,
  • half spoon turmeric, 
  • Salt and dry chill (optional ),
  • 1 pomegranate,
  • 1 beetroot ,
  • lemon ,
  • 1 spoon sugar,
  • half spoon black pepper

Step By step Cooking Description:

Simple Spinach Rice- For preparation

Step 1. first cook plain rice (I used basmati rice ) in a pot (1 small bowl rice for 1 person proportion ) Note- Do not overcook rice

Step 2. wash spinach (250Gm) leaves , add 2 green chilli, garlic (2)and make a paste in a grinder Jar and keep it aside 


For Cooking 

Step 1. Take a wide pan- add 1 oil

Step 2. Add 1 spoon cumin seeds and chopped onions, fry until onions golden brown

Step 3. Add Spinach paste (point 2 in preparation) and cook for 3 min.

Step 4. Add half spoon turmeric, salt and dry chill (optional )

Step 5. Mix well without breaking rice grains and cook for 5 min

Step 6.Finally serve Spinach rice with salad or as it is.


Beetroot -Pomegranate Salad

It is very simple yet delicious and healthy.

Step 1. Grate 1 medium size beetroot

Step 2. take half bowl pomegranate

Step 3. Mix it together and add salt , black pepper, 1 spoon lemon juice and 1 spoon brown sugar

Step 4. Store in refrigerator for 10 min and eat as it is.
